CTN Spotlight on ... Stacie!
CTNX: Hello Stacie, it's a pleasure to speak with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
SC: I'm 19 years-old and I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, so I decided to choose it as a career. My parents weren't the most enthusiastic about my decision, but eventually they gave in. Other than drawing, I enjoy volleyball, watching cartoons, and listening to music.
CTNX: When and how did your relationship with CTN begin?
SC: It began in Fall of 2016 when I learned that CTN Expo was looking for volunteers, so I decided to sign up.
CTNX: What have your positions been with CTNX and what have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
SC: So far I have only been a volunteer, but I have improved my social skills greatly from working with others and helping out visitors.
CTNX: What are your ultimate career goals?
SC: I wish to become a 2D animator, or character designer in the future. So far, I'm not completely sure where I want to end up, but as long as I'm happy, I don't care where that is.
CTNX: How does working with CTN help you meet those goals?
SC: It gets my name out there. I'm able to talk to people in the industry, as well as other artists. I get advice from so many people, and I've made so many connections with others.
CTNX: What have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
SC: I learned that this industry is so much more than I thought it was. And it is a far, and tough road ahead of me, but I'm ready for it.
CTNX: What do you look forward to most in the coming years regarding your career?
SC: I look forward to learning everything I can, and to make more connections with others using animation.
CTNX: It was a pleasure to talk with you Alice!
