CTN Spotlight on ... Esther!
CTNX: Hello Esther, it's a pleasure to speak with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
ET: I'm from the Philippines, and I am currently a Senior in the Art Institute of California - North Hollywood.
CTNX: When and how did your relationship with CTN begin?
ET: My first experience of CTN was when I got the chance to volunteer at the 2015 expo - it was a convention that I had no idea about until my friends from San Jose State told me about it.
CTNX: What have your positions been with CTNX and what have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
ET: By far, my experience during my volunteering in 2015 was a door watcher.
CTNX: What are your ultimate career goals?
ET: My career interest is in Visual Development in the Animation Industry, but I'm also open to dive into the Gaming Industry.
CTNX: How does working with CTN help you meet those goals?
ET: Working with CTN has given me the opportunity to meet and learn from my favorite artists. Also, by being a part of the CTN community, I greatly have benefited to the exposure to job opportunities, academies, learning new artists, and networking.
CTNX: What have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
ET: After having to experience CTN, I have learned to love the animation community. It is very competitive, but the grace that everyone shares to push each other forward is very comforting.
CTNX: What do you look forward to most in the coming years regarding your career?
ET: I'd like to get an internship this year, and hopefully a job once I graduate!
