CTN Spotlight on ... Michael!
CTNX: Hello Michael, it's a pleasure to speak with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
MF: Hi! My name is Michael Fullilove I am from Sacramento Ca originally. I am a Junior in the Animation Illustration program at San Jose State and a proud Shrunkenheadman! I am focusing on visual development and it is my dream to work on a major motion picture or game! I love storytelling and drawing!
CTNX: When and how did your relationship with CTN begin?
MF: I had the amazing opportunity to go to CTN for the first time, last year. I did not know what to expect and I was honestly a little intimidated. But when I arrived I fell in love. It was such a warm and friendly environment. Talking with artists that have inspired me since I was a child, and seeing the passion and drive that goes into their personal work was a true gift. Oh, and the figure models were amazing!!
CTNX: What have your positions been with CTNX and what have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
MF: Unfortunately, I have not yet had the opportunity to work with the CTNX Crew but I have a few friends who did. Talking with my friends Charlotte Chen and Elizabeth Chee, I have learned that teamwork, coordination and communication are key to keep everything running smoothly. Coming from a guest perspective it was a wonderful experience all around.
CTNX: What are your ultimate career goals?
MF: I hope to be an art director one day. Or even own my own animation studio. I like the idea of being a part of a small studio that makes cool stuff!
CTNX: How does working with CTN help you meet those goals?
MF: By working with CTN I'll be plugged right into the heart of the animation industry and the shared community of artists, Illustrators and storytellers.
CTNX: What have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
MF: I think what I have learned this for is that it is important to stay inspired and do what you love. Also, not to wait to do the sort of things you want to be doing..
CTNX: What do you look forward to most in the coming years regarding your career?
MF: Meeting new, wonderful people in this crazy creative and fun field of work :)
CTNX: It was a pleasure to talk with you Michael!
