CTN Spotlight ton ... Ani !
CTNX: Hello Ani, it's a pleasure to speak with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
AS: I recently graduated from California State University, Northridge in Spring 2017, with a Bachelor of Art in Animation.
CTNX: When and how did your relationship with CTN begin?
AS: My relationship with CTN began in my junior year at CSUN when I applied to become a staffer for CTNX 2016. I was familiar with CTN before this, but it was not until I volunteered for CTNX that I fully realized the creative impact that CTN plays in the animation industry.
CTNX: What have your positions been with CTNX and what have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
AS: In the beginning, I was assigned to Zone 5 to assist with VIP registration. This included checking VIP guests in and serving as a runner as well. The most exciting position that I held with CTNX was assisting one of the CTN team members with escorting Travis Knight and helping to escort and greet interviewees. Thanks to CTNX, I met so many talented artists and made amazing friends.
CTNX: What are your ultimate career goals?
AS: My goals are to work in the animation industry and grow within a good company by doing what I love and working with talented people who share an enthusiasm for storytelling and entertainment.
CTNX: How does working with CTN help you meet those goals?
AS: CTN brings together so many talented people from around the world all in one place. I was able to meet some of these talented people and talk to them about how they were able to get to where they are now. CTN really opened my eyes to the possibilities in animation.
CTNX: What have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
AS: CTN taught me how incredibly valuable teamwork is when it comes to achieving a unified goal. It was a team effort to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Although I was just one staffer in many, I felt awed at how everyone's roles held an essential part in achieving the overall goal.
CTNX: What do you look forward to most in the coming years regarding your career?
AS: I am really looking forward to advancing my skills and knowledge in animation. I am excited at the thought of meeting new people who love what they do and getting the opportunity to work for an animation company where I can constantly grow and contribute my skills to the animation industry.
CTNX: It was a pleasure to talk with you Ani!
