CTN Spotlight on ... Claire!
CTNX: Hello Claire, it's a pleasure to speak with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
CC: My name's Claire Carter, and I was born in Portland Oregon but I grew up in Los Angeles. I'm currently a Character Animation student at CalArts and working really hard everyday to be the best artist I can be.
CTNX: When and how did your relationship with CTN begin?
CC: I started working at CTN in 2014 as a volunteer and I've been back every year since.
CTNX: What have your positions been with CTNX and what have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
CC: My positions the first two years were as a volunteer, but my last year I was helping out at my schools booth.
CTNX: What are your ultimate career goals?
CC: To write and do visual development in the animation industry.
CTNX: How does working with CTN help you meet those goals?
CC: CTN is wonderful for networking and connecting with other fellow artist in the industry. You learn new things, get inspired, and develop new friendships.
CTNX: What have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
CC: That taking chances is worth it and putting yourself out there is the best thing you can do.
CTNX: What do you look forward to most in the coming years regarding your career?
CC: Collaborating with great people and developing fun/inspiring ideas.
